Etna Rosso Cottanera 2021

The viticulture in Sicily is very often a synonym for a form of relationship with nature that goes beyond the ordinary measure of things: an evidence of this can be seen in the rows of Nerello Mascalese by Cottanera, that run across the volcanic ridges of the seething Etna on one side, and by the other flow into the cold valley of the Alcantara river, behind the mighty snow-covered Nebrodi. Here the wide temperature range between day and night provides optimal conditions for the ripening of grapes, while the alternation of volcanic and alluvial soils can produce wines perfectly balanced between aroma and texture. From these conditions stems the Etna Rosso produced by family Cambria, skilled in enhancing the mineral abundance of the terroir to obtain a fresh and fragrant wine, but also capable of converting faithfully the typical traits of such a complex grape as Nerello, not coincidentally often referred to as "Pinot Noir of the South"
